ERGO-Basic packing tables for Mytheresa’s new fulfillment center

Mytheresa.com once again relied on our proven expertise and equipped its new fulfillment center with 158 individually configured ERGO-Basic packing tables.

Starting point and challenge

After two successful packing-table projects, Mytheresa turned to ERGO-line for the third time. As a global e-commerce player with a high shipment volume, Mytheresa needs efficient, ergonomic solutions for packaging workflows in its new logistics center. The new site in Schkeuditz had to be equipped with flexible, functional, and durable packing stations that meet the demands of different departments. The challenge was to identify a setup that meets employees’ ergonomic needs while also satisfying the high requirements for efficiency and quality in order fulfillment. It was also important to test the tables in advance and tailor them to the specific processes.

Solution and results

ERGO-line first provided the client with sample tables and standing aids to test various application scenarios in realistic conditions. Based on these tests, a custom solution was developed on the ERGO-Basic model. The 158 delivered packing tables include carton storage shelves and individually configurable upper sections. What stood out were the ergonomic advantages – such as height adjustability via hand crank or electric motor – as well as the construction’s high stability and load capacity (up to 350 kg).

Decisive factors, alongside product quality, were the system’s flexible adaptability and the ability to test the solution in advance.

Applications

ERGO-line packing tables are used across multiple shipping workflows at mytheresa.com. Thanks to their flexible configuration, they integrate seamlessly into different process steps and deliver a tangible boost in day-to-day efficiency:

Returns: Returned items are received, inspected, and repacked at the tables.

Hanging apparel: Premium garments such as dresses and suits are scanned, inspected, and placed into suitable packaging.

Auxiliary tables: In addition to the main workstation, many tables serve as modular auxiliary surfaces for specific tasks.

Conveyor systems: Positioned near the conveyor lines, the tables enable direct and efficient packing for onward transport.
