Optimisation of goods dispatch with ERGO-Basic and roller conveyor system

To modernise goods dispatch, ERGO-line implemented new ERGO-Basic workstations with integrated gravity roller conveyors at Sonepar Suisse AG, thereby ensuring structured, efficient logistics processes.

Client background and challenges

The existing goods issue process no longer met current requirements in terms of efficiency and structure. The aim was to optimise procedures and adapt processes to today's logistics standards. In particular, the flow of goods needed to be clearly structured and made more efficient.

Solution and result

ERGO-line developed a concept for redesigning three goods issue lines. ERGO-Basic work tables were used in combination with gravity roller conveyors. Each line was equipped with three roller conveyors, allowing pre-packaged goods to be separated according to size and weight and stored specifically for order picking.

The result is structured processes, a better overview and greater process reliability in goods dispatch.
