Packing island and computer workstation for optimised shipping processes

With a custom-designed packing island and a separate IT workstation based on ERGO-Basic desks, ERGO-line optimised the logistics processes at Kull-Laube AG in the areas of goods dispatch and data processing.

Client background and challenges

The aim of the project was to restructure the packing area with an integrated IT solution. The flow of goods needed to be organised efficiently and the electronic recording of shipping data needed to be integrated into the process in an ergonomic manner. At the same time, a compact, functional solution in close proximity to the goods issue area was required.

Solution and result

ERGO-line created four ERGO-Basic work tables. Three tables were combined to form a central packing island, supplemented by a lifting element with integrated scales, a free-standing structure, drawer systems and a folding box magazine. A separate IT workstation was also set up.

The new solution enables structured packaging processes, integrated quality control and ergonomic recording of all shipping data directly in the goods issue area.
