Ergonomic packing workstations for a modern goods-in and goods-out area

ERGO-line developed a bespoke workstation solution for GWF AG’s goods-in and goods-out areas. The new packing station combines ergonomics, functionality and a space-saving design, ensuring more efficient processes and optimal working conditions for staff.

Client background and challenges

The existing goods-out area no longer met current ergonomic requirements and offered only limited scope for efficient workflows. At the same time, the available space was limited and had to be utilised to the full.

The aim was therefore to find a compact, ergonomic packing station that would optimally support all work steps in both goods-in and goods-out areas and adapt to the day-to-day requirements of staff. From the outset, the focus was on a practical solution that is both functional and flexible enough to be expanded in the long term.

Solution and result

ERGO-line designed and implemented a bespoke workstation solution based on the modular ERGO-Basic system. The new packing workstations were tailored precisely to the available space and work processes.

The solution incorporated height-adjustable work tables, integrated lifting elements, ergonomic floor mats and a wide range of functional fittings such as monitor mounts, label holders, shelves, drawer systems and folding box magazines. This resulted in well-organised workstations with short reach distances and an ergonomic working position for all packaging and dispatch processes.

The result is a modern, efficient goods-in and goods-out area that simplifies daily workflows, reduces physical strain and, at the same time, offers sufficient flexibility to meet future requirements.
