Ergonomic Packing Workstations for an Efficient Dispatch Area

ERGO-line designed and supplied a bespoke packing workstation solution for Velofactory AG's dispatch department. Ergonomic workstations with integrated accessories streamline packing processes, reduce unnecessary movement and improve efficiency while creating a comfortable working environment.

Client background and challenges

As part of the optimisation of its dispatch operations, Velofactory AG sought a modern workstation solution that would improve productivity while providing an ergonomic working environment for its employees.

The packing stations needed to accommodate packaging materials, labelling equipment, documentation and other essential tools in a clearly organised layout. At the same time, the system had to remain flexible enough to adapt to future operational requirements and business growth.

Solution and result

ERGO-line supplied six bespoke L-shaped packing islands based on the modular ERGO-Basic workstation system. The solution combines manually and electrically height-adjustable workstations, allowing each operator to work in a comfortable and ergonomic position.

Each workstation was equipped with a carefully selected range of accessories, including carton dispensers, shelving, pull-out printer shelves, keyboard trays, label holders, integrated power supplies and additional storage solutions. All equipment is positioned within easy reach, helping to minimise movement and improve workflow efficiency.

The completed installation provides a well-organised, ergonomic and highly efficient dispatch area. Optimised workflows, reduced handling times and the flexibility to expand the system in the future ensure long-term operational benefits.
