Custom Packing Stations for Efficient Shipping and Logistics Processes

ERGO-line designed and implemented a tailored shipping workstation solution for IPETRONIK. Combining ergonomic workstations, integrated weighing technology and organized packaging material storage, the system improves efficiency, workflow consistency and workplace ergonomics.

Client background and challenges

As shipping volumes and operational requirements continued to grow, IPETRONIK sought to optimize its packaging and dispatch area. The goal was to create a workstation environment that would support all shipping-related processes while improving efficiency and ergonomics.

A key challenge was integrating packaging, weighing, labeling and material handling into a structured workflow. Packaging materials and carton boxes needed to be readily available, while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

In addition, the solution had to remain flexible enough to accommodate varying package sizes and changing operational requirements.

Solution and result

ERGO-line developed a customized packing station system based on three interconnected ERGO-Basic workstations. The workstations were equipped with spacious work surfaces, carton storage racks, shelving systems and integrated organization components. A dedicated weighing station with a built-in scale cut-out and display holder was incorporated into the central workstation. Additional pull-out storage systems, printer shelves and mobile waste containers further enhanced workplace organization.

To improve ergonomics, one workstation was equipped with electric height adjustment, allowing operators to adapt the working height to individual needs.

The result is a highly organized shipping area that streamlines processes, reduces unnecessary movement and supports efficient day-to-day logistics operations.
